Copper Mountain Mine (CMM) is an open pit mining site and processing plant located near Princeton, BC. The project makes use of a conventional crushing, grinding, and flotation circuit to produce copper concentrates. Giffen has provided ongoing support to the CMM site, offering detailed engineering, design, and drafting for the Capital Projects Group. In 2023, Hudbay Minerals Inc. (Hudbay) acquired 100% ownership from Copper Mountain Mining Corp.

– 3D Modelling and Drafting Services: Updates to, and development of PFDs and PIDs. Creation of piping isometrics, specifications, and material-take-offs.
– Piping: Upgrades to the Cleaner-Scavenger Flotation Tailings Piping, Rougher Expansion Overflow, FC3 DFR Bypass, Lifting supports.
– Mechanical: Detailed engineering for the BM3 Scats Chute Modifications and RE Blower / Permanent Flotation Blower.
– Structural: Detailed engineering of HVAC retrofit structural supports, barge inspection, and temporary barge skid.
