What inspired you to join the team here? It was an opportunity to enter back into the workforce and accommodated my home life.

What is the best advice you could give to a brand new employee? Go slow, communicate, build internal and external working relationships, gain knowledge.
What is one thing that you wish people knew about your job or industry? That there is more to an Engineering firm then just “engineering”, you are creating relationships, networking, bidding work, planning and project management / logistics, marketing. It takes so many different segments to make the “engineering” part go!
When did you first know that you wanted to pursue a career in this field? I 100% didn’t know I wanted to work in the Corporate Services field, I saw it more as an opportunity to dust off a few of my skills and get back into the work force. As time has gone on it feels like my position as evolved and become something thank keeps me continuously learning and allowing me to grow myself and skills.
What do you love most about your job? It is ever changing and gives me the ability to build on current skills and develop new ones.
What piece of advice would you give to your younger self? Take more time to see and discover different industries, learn how the relate to one another and what skills are transferable.
What would your perfect weekend look like? Morning coffee on the front porch in the sunshine, friends over for the day, and early to bed!
What do you like to do outside of work? I absolutely love sewing / quilting, crafting, and gardening.
What is your favorite local spot to eat / drink? Blacksmith Bakery, Fort Langley, BC.
What would be your dream job (that isn’t this one!)? Full time sewist / fabric designer / collection curator for Art Gallery Fabrics.
If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be? Iceland.
If you could pick any superpower, what would it be and why? Power Cleaning, snap of the fingers and everything would be done, then I could go have fun!
