What is the best advice you could give to a brand-new employee? Learn something new every day and try to ask as many questions as you can.
What is one thing that you wish people knew about your job or industry? E+I is a diverse field with many topics to learn. Reading various standards and recommended practices will help guide a new E+I engineer to learn different methods of the design process.
When did you first know that you wanted to pursue a career in this field? Probably when I first took grade 11 physics. I liked to solve electrical circuits analysis problems which led me to the E+I field.
What do you love most about your job? I love solving problems and designing new solutions.
What piece of advice would you give to your younger self? Don’t stress over the little things in life.
What would your perfect weekend look like? Exploring the city, finding new places to eat/drink, and catching some live music.
What do you like to do outside of work? I like to workout, learn new songs on guitar, and learn new recipes.
What is your favorite local spot to eat / drink? My favorite spot to eat would be Maros (a Middle Eastern fusion restaurant) in Oakville, ON.
What would be your dream job (that isn’t this one!)? I always wanted to be a professional skateboarder growing up.
If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be? I’d like to visit Japan one day.
If you could pick any superpower, what would it be and why? Teleportation to save time on travel.
