Artemis Gold Inc. engaged Giffen to complete the detailed engineering design work for the potable water and sewage systems at the Operations Camp at the Blackwater Project.

Giffen carried out the multi-discipline engineering and design for the Operations Camp’s water utilities. The camp is designed to use six pre-owned 37-bed junior executive dorms and have a capacity of 222 people. Giffen developed mechanical equipment packages, equipment lists, piping and instrumentation diagrams, piping equipment lists, general arrangements, and structural foundation drawings.

Additional scope was added to include the design and engineering of:

– potable water pumping
– propane storage and distribution piping and instrumentation diagrams
– development of a wastewater treatment plant and associated general arrangements
– plan and profile drawings of buried services

The Blackwater Gold Project is 100% owned by Artemis Gold Inc. and is located in British Columbia, approximately 110 km southwest of Vanderhoof and 450 km northeast of Vancouver. The site is accessible year-round by Highway 16 and access/service roads.
