Project Overview.
The Mactung Project is a feasibility-stage tungsten development located on the Yukon–Northwest Territories border. Giffen provided Owner’s Support to coordinate feasibility activities including drilling, metallurgical testing, and engineering deliverables. Scope focused on project controls, schedule management, and reporting to support project execution and alignment across multiple third-party consultants.
Project Services: Development and implementation of project controls systems, including progress tracking, cost reporting, and deviation monitoring against budget and schedule.
Project Controls: Set up and management of cost reporting systems, invoice review, and ongoing project performance monitoring across engineering and contractor scopes.
Planning + Scheduling: Update and maintenance of an integrated Level 2 project schedule, incorporating engineering, permitting, and pre-feasibility activities, with ongoing updates to reflect project progress and dependencies.
Reporting: Preparation of weekly and monthly reporting, including project progress updates, cost reports, schedule updates, and discipline tracking to support stakeholder decision-making.
Procurement + Contract Support: Support development of contract and procurement strategies and coordination with vendors to align long-lead equipment and project execution requirements.
