Reubien is a mechanical engineering technologist with over 11 years of experience leading and designing comprehensive projects in the mining and mineral resource industry. He has worked in coordinating and designer roles in a variety of multidisciplined projects all throughout North America. As lead designer, Reubien demonstrates strong leadership, organization, and communication, as well as detailed design and productions of 3D models, arrangements, and drawings. Reubien’s technical experience focuses on MicroStation, PSDS, OpenPlant, Plant3D and AutoCAD software.

What is the best advice you could give to a brand-new employee? Try not to rush your experience and try to learn everything at once. Learn a bit every on every job and implement what you learned on the next.
When did you first know that you wanted to pursue a career in this field? This is a career I never really thought I would do. I got hired out of BCIT and just stuck with it. Overtime it grew on me and thought I could be happy with this being my career.
What do you love most about your job? I like the flexibility. I can work from home or come into an office. Working with great colleagues with knowledge and willing to share it.
